I've been able to get the Table Manager module to work with vbDrupal. All that is necessary is to rename the 2 tables required as per the vbDrupal instructions: How to install modules

dba works! I can backup tables easily via drupal now database maintence also works, at least for the drupal tables, I haven't used it on the vb ones

Yep. I works fine on a 4.7.x install that I have running. Most modules that don't touch the user's data should work perfectly and without complaint on a vbDrupal 4.7.x site (can't speak for 4.6.x sites since that has a different codebase).
