Articles in particular category get posted in designated forum

I may be asking very basic question here, but I could find if this works.

If a user writes an article about lets say category1, is there a way I can assign this category - a forum so that the article ( not full, but first 500 words or so) gets posted in that forum for discussion?

not per category, you can only set a default comment forum per node type.

could you set the rss feed for the category to post in the designated forum? since you can generate rss with drupal and you can pull rss in vb, that sounds like it would probably do what you want, but I haven't worked with rss in vb much yet.

oh great, thats a great idea Goddess! I will have to check if RSS gets generated per category in Drupal.
