In your admin->settings (in vbdrupal) check your filesystem path and temporary directory. These could cause safe mode issues as well.

i download vBDrupal 1.3.3
upload files from local-folder 'drupal' to ftp-folder 'www.site.com'
change file '/sites/default/config.php'
go to forum 'forum.site.com' and import file 'product-drupal.xml'
in forum admin panel change settings of vB Drupal
and when go to site 'http://www.site.com' look this errors

On your vbdrupal front page click on administer->settings. Make sure your entries here for filesystem and temporary directory are correct and writeable.

In your vbdrupal administration (not the forum admincp). When you go to your main page in vbdrupal in the left navigation you should see a link for administration. Click on administration, then settings. What are your entries for filesystem and temporary directory?
