go to create content and create a story and make sure you mark it to be published on home page, that should work I think.

Make sure inside admin/settings/site-information u have "node" in the home page.

when i try to add a story igot this message

i have onother problem when i use vbulletin import the new article where i submit it not contain the picture included in the vbulletin thread such us i cross the "import thread body" whats the solution

That sounds pretty bad I'd do a reinstall and make sure all settings are correct
