Active maintenance of 3.7, including fixes for functionality breaks and security problems, will continue for approximately six months (to 1st July 2009), after which only security fixes will be released. url (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=298045)
I suggest make Drupal version 5.16 work with vbulletin 3.8.

Really? But in documentation of vbdrupal is nothing sad about it:
This version of vbDrupal is based on Drupal version 5.16. It has been designed to work with vBulletin version 3.6 and 3.7. A copy of the vBulletin software is required in order to use this piece of software. url (http://www.vbdrupal.org/forum/showthread.php?p=9729#post9729)

I guess the documentation hasn't been updated yet.
I have 3.8 working just fine with my vbDrupal installation.

Let the vbdrupal author confirm it. Only in this case I believe in that.

I have been running vbdrupal with vbulletin 3.8 for quite some time without any issues.

I've been running vbDrupal on vb3.8 since a day or 2 after 3.8 was released with no problems at all.
