Merging posts

I don't know how to do it exactly because I have a new forum, but I noticed that if I post my comment and then go back and post another, it creates a new comment rather than merging it. Many of the VB sites I've been on merge those comments... just a thought.

On the other hand, since I don't know how to do it, if someone would be kind enough to post a link or description of how-to, that would be great.

The merge might be appropriate for journals, but for content management, it would be very confusing to merge all content comments into a single thread.
