When phptemplate system is most people's choice in the Drupal community, however, would the modification of defaultvb theme be the easier way to "skin" a vbdrupal site? What I mean "easier" is: not only make the blog, forum, and other pages in the same look, but also grab and show the content of vb on Drupal's page and vice visa.

I am going to work on the skinning, just wonder which way is better. It seems that I am forced to choose the bright side or dark side :o Anyone can raise the pros and cons of both way? Thanks a lot.

I have given a lot of thought to the same question. I am not a great PHP coder so I would rather not have to go the route of phptemplate, but it seems like the default vb theme will make drupal look too much like my forums. The goal is to have a very design-oriented front page and keep the forum look just on the forums.

If I were not using vbulletin, I would use phptemplate without question, however, since I am using vbulletin and I really like a consistent look and feel for the whole site I have chosen the defaultvb theme in 4.6 and defaulttangy in 4.7
