OK, I would think this to be an extremely useful and not to hard to develop feature. Something a button at the bottom of each thread in Vb (or something along those lines) that with one click, can create a node in drupal using the content of the first post in the thread, specifying that thread to the node, and then you can select the settings (publish to frontpage for example)
Often times users in forums write very good guides to something, and they are totally fine with it being spread around the site and used. So a simple one click button for admins to create the forum into a node would be amazing.

The current development version of the vbnode module is now available in the vbdrupal cvs. If you are not using cvs you can get the current version here. (attached to the thread)
I'm not certain where the appropriate place is for this...
It appears that your node conversion may have trouble with vbcodes.

I have members who would like to import some forum posts into their blogs. Is it possible to convert vb threads into specific node types (i.e. personal blog entries)?

currently no, but I think I'm going to change the way this module is implemented so you could also import certain posts instead of just threads.
But that's something for the long run because I'm quite low on time the next few weeks.

Thanks. I've figured out an ugly hack in the meantime. If I can spare the time to figure out how modules work, I might try working on it myself (I'm a complete drupal newbie).

Ok, I've revamped this module. It no longer uses it's own node type. It simply adds a field to the edit page that allows you to import the content from an post.
I've included a page to convert the old vBulletin Nodes to an other node type (e.g. page): http://examples.com/drupal/vbnode/convert
included with the attachment is an other module vbcore that also add a vbcode filter that allows you to use vbCode in any node when that filter format is selected.
These modules are all part of a future vbDrupal release

Well, I have it, The trouble I have is that I can't seem to import the posts of other users? It isn't a big problem, but it would save me a lot of time importing them manually.
And yus, my role has 'import any post' permission :D

How can I use it after I have enabled the vbnode module

okay, I got it, import the postID in the node editing form.
However, can I export (by pushing a button or choosing in posting form) in vb side instead of import in drupal side? I think it is more natural working way :p
